San Diego's first sailing club for people of color!
With San Diego's rich maritime history, warm climate and active
Navy port, it's surprising not to find a diverse group of hobbyists with a
common interest in sailing. Black Sails was formed in 2010 by black sailors
from the Southern California area.
We are working towards becoming a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of sailing. Eventually we would like to bring the sport into neighborhood schools as a outlet for students. We meet and sail monthly at one of the various harbors in the San Diego area.
Black Sails is open to all whom love the sport.
